India has the second largest collection of electric vehicles globally after China

The popularization of electric vehicles in India has been in news for quite some time. This is mostly because it’s a global issue and the collection of electric vehicles in India now ranks second after China. With a plethora of incentives getting revealed in the Union budget for electric vehicles, India has joined governments in China and Europe. They have been backing the development of the nascent EV industry by providing the extensive fiscal incentives and a favorable regulatory environment.

In India, the entire scenario got a boost up when electric rickshaw in Jharkhand was immensely popularized. Even the government finally backed the initiative as this is a step towards eco-friendly society.

Promoting eco-friendly environment

An electric vehicle is perhaps a way to say no to pollution. Introduction of the battery-operated rickshaw in Jharkhand was actually a huge step towards the promotion of eco-friendly environment. Electric vehicles do not emit climate-changing greenhouse gases or nitrogen dioxide that is extremely harmful to health. Hence, this is one of the best solutions to have a better environment. Surveys say that by the year 2030, the increase in the sales of electric vehicles can control around 846 million tons of net Carbon dioxide emissions.

More investment in electric vehicle production

Recent news says that China happens to be the world’s largest electric vehicle market, and it has imposed the needed restrictions on investment in new manufacturing plants for the production of traditional vehicles. The local government has even released a separate quota for Electric Vehicle production for all manufacturers. India is also following that footstep. Here, electric vehicles are being more promoted for better investment in it. Though there are many companies shifting focus to electric cars, there are still some more yet to materialize this plan.

Advantages of electric vehicles cannot be denied in any way. The Indian economy can also churn out positive results with the more production of EVs. The owners of an EV have the most advantage of lowering the running costs. The electricity required to charge an EV works out one third per kilometer as buying petrol for the same.
