Importance of e-rickshaws in today’s transport system

Air pollution happens when our atmospheric air gets contaminated with harmful gases and other particles. Energy use and production are the main causes for the emission of harmful gases. Due to a greater turning radius of an e-rickshaw, it can be used on narrow roads or congested areas. It can turn more and can easily avoid traffic jams.

During its functioning, an e-rickshaw makes very little noise. Thus, it does not create any sound pollution. Commuters enjoy a smooth and comfortable riding experience as the vehicle minimizes the effects of jerking on rough roads.

LOW RUNNING COST:

The batteries of e-rickshaws can be recharged at home. Moreover, the maintenance cost of the vehicle and its battery are very much low.

Last year, the number of battery operated rickshaws in Bihar has increased with 100% growth. Approximately, 3500 e-rickshaws are running on the roads of Patna, giving a hint that this vehicle is one of the best modes of transports for short distance commute in India.
