How to charge e-rickshaws?

Electric Rickshaws or e-rickshaws have earned popularity in India since 2008. These vehicles are alternative to auto rickshaws, cycle rickshaws and pulled rickshaws. SOME POINTS ON MOTORS, BATTERIES AND CHARGING METHODS

According to the regulation of the Government of India, an e-rickshaw and its components must have few essential criteria.

The maximum speed of an e-rickshaw must be 25 kilometres per hour.
The electric motor of an e-rickshaw must have the power within 2 Kilowatt or KW.
The charging current must be within 10 to 15 Ampere.
The charging voltage should be at least 60 volts. It is permissible to increase it up to 65 volts.
The charging time must not be more than 8 hours.
Now, you may wonder how you should charge the battery of the electric motor of your e-rickshaw. You can reach the nearest charging station. But, in India, the number of charging stations is quite limited. Moreover, you may not find the charging stations at favourable locations. Thus, you can buy a charger to get rid of these disadvantages.
Generally, a typical charger is compatible with 60 to 65 charging voltage and charging current of 12 Amperes or 768 watts. It offers energy output of 768*8 hours= 6.144 kWh.
Keep in mind that it does not matter how much voltage system you are using in your charger. You have to know the capacity of your battery pack and the charger’s current ratings. These are the factors on which the energy consumption rate depends with respect to certain duration of time.
